True Story: A Rocky Way Down

Stretcher rescue on a mountain trail

A family hike turned into a serious challenge when mom reached the summit and then felt faint after the climb. The group, seeing she was in no shape to make the 4-mile trek back downhill, crafted a stretcher from logs, branches and coats and carried her to safety.

While their creativity is laudable, says Anita (her mom is on that stretcher, left): “I will never travel without ADAPTS again! It is so easy to pack in a hiking backpack and exactly what we needed on the trail that day.”
